Mazda CX-9 Places 1st on World-Acclaimed 'Affordable Midsize SUVs' List

It's not easy to stand out from the crowd in a market as saturated as the SUV segment. However, with unexpected, exciting performance, an attractive exterior, technologically-advanced interior and innovative safety, the new 2012 Mazda CX-9 does. So much so that it's enraptured the critics at U.S. News and World Report, a publication which just featured the vehicle at the top of its "Affordable Midsize SUVs" list.

It's not just U.S New and World Report that is taken by the Mazda CX-9, either.  Given that it blends the tight handling and on-a-dime responsiveness enjoyed in sporty Mazda sedans (i.e., the Mazda 3 and Mazda 5) and the versatility and room of an SUV, it's routinely reviewed as one of the most athletic options in its class.

At a glance, the Mazda CX-9 offers seating for seven passengers, up to 24 mpg hwy, Bluetooth, available blind-spot monitoring, and roll stability control among many other features. Mazda doesn't skimp on the third-row seat, either. And, for SUV drivers craving even more efficiency, they're bringing a new CX variant to market this February. Perhaps you've heard of it. Called the Mazda CX-5, it will feature SKYACTIV technology, which includes a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder, petrol-powered engine expected to deliver 33 miles per gallon (mpg). That's nine mpg highway more than the current Mazda CX-9.
